16-Track Master Reel>DAT>CD>EAC>SHN
(Extraction and.shn encoding by Seth Kaplan, Sdk022769@aol.com)
(Initial seeds circulated by C. Miller via Aoxoa ====> THANKS!)Source info for spliced portions:
0:35.360 seconds of Lovelight: 2-Track SBDMR>C>C>DAT>CD
0:36.526 seconds of Pre-Encore stage banter: 2-track MSR>R2Rx2>DAT>CD
0:34.512 seconds of Alligator: 2-Track SBDMR>R>R>PCM>DAT>CD
0:00.895 seconds of Alligator from the Multi-Track Master Reel
was replaced with 0:00.895 seconds of Alligator from the 2-Track
SBDMR>R>R>PCM>DAT>CD where the Multi-Track Master Reel slowed down
and ran out.
The above splices from the alternative 2-Track sources were edited
and patched by myself using Cool Edit 2000 FFT filters, Normalize/Amplification
and Time/Pitch functions.
A replicated section of crowd noise after King Bee was removed by me and a
repeating error at the end of Dark Star was fixed by Jack Warner.
I also re-tracked most of the show after completing the above edits.
Dark Star splice at approximately 18:00 (drops off at 17:58 on the initial
unpatched disc 2) from 2-Track DAT source supplied by Rob Bertrando:
SBDMR>DAT>CD and was done by Aoxoa and C. Miller

Notes:
I originally transferred my Dat back in 2000. At that time, I only made Audio
discs. Someone asked me to circulate this source since the circulating source
has NR applied to it. My source DOES NOT have any NR applied to it. I made
these FLAC's off of my Master Audio Discs. Enjoy...cm

WAV > Sony Vegas 5 > WAV > CD Wave > FLAC 16 (level 8)
Matrixed by Chris Chappell
5-18-05
scarfire@liquidcity.comGeneral Notes:
Three sources from the LMA provided coverage for this matrix: a different
SBD for each set, and a very nice sounding FOB AUD recorded by Steve
Hopkins. While the first set SBD source suffers greatly from previous NR,
the second set SBD is superb, resulting in an excellent matrix. Multiple
requests from the audience for St. Stephen in the first set help to
resurrect this gem (not played since Halloween 1971). Another resurrection
is a stirring High Time, stashed since 7-12-70. Most notable IMHO is the
8+ minute intro to Eyes which clocks in at 17:17 total. Some consider this
show second only to the 7-18 show for 1976 with the 6-29 up there as well,
definately in the top 3. While the intro to St. Stephen is AUD only, it is
still quite listenable, with the crowd reacting strongly, and the matrix
kicks in once the vocals start. A Franklin's encore is also an added bonus. |

Thanks to Joey Browning's Unknown SBD
Unknown AUD patch from Joey Brownings source for US Blues
Notes:
- Bertha has several level adjustments. The left channel was also very
low so I boosted it 3dBs for the first 4:02. The beginning of the
song is a bit rough but it gets much better.
- Cold Rain and Snow has 2 patches with an alternate SBD between
2:08 - 2:11 and 4:23 - 4:28
- Row Jimmy had some problems in the left channel I corrected this by
patching in the right channel at 2:33, 4:02, 7:00 and 7:43. Right
channel had 1 problem at 7:55 patched in with left. Also a minor
pop at 6:58.
- Masterpiece has a patch with an alternate SBD from 4:17 - 4:27
- Deal has a patch with the alternate SBD from 1:04 - 1:07
- Space has 2 pops at 0:59 and a squeek at 7:33
- Morning Dew had bad diginoise from 0:32 - 0:47 patched with
alternate SBD
- US Blues was cut AUD patch from 3:02 until end.
Also a big thanks goes out to the guys and girls at SHN Traders for
helping me spread these seeds around. Mike, Jason, Michele, Teri,
Rob, Steve, Tom, Dean and the rest.

Notes/Flaws:
- This a nice recording of a solid show. I have been told that this
was the last show recorded by Menke and Falanga with the mics onstage,
but a second source dates the demise of that setup to 2/15/76 (specifically, when the R channel goes out during Knockin' on Heaven's
Door, associated with Parrish cutting the mic cable). I don't know
which is correct.
- Set I has also circulated from this master has also circulated
from MAC > Reel > VHS > DAT > CDR.
- There are some very light ticks occasionally audible, but generally only
during very quiet between-song tunings.
- d2t01 How Sweet fades in (very little missing), tick @ 0:30
- d2t03 Strange Man barely clips in
- d2t04 Tore Up brief splice @ 7:22
- DLG and HTC are a bit louder than the rest of set II.
- The only edits undertaken were to remove a few ticks just before
Harder They Come and a tick at the start of Tore Up.

Comments/Notes/Flaws:
- There are at least three sources in circulation for this show,
none of them quite complete. Eldon Porray's excellent audience
tape (usually said to be Nak 700s, but it's too early for those
mics) is all of set I and Midnight Moonlight from set II. The
sbd has cuts in Knockin' and Lonesome and is missing Love in the
Afternoon and all but the last 20 second of Tore Up. Menke's
master is the most complete, with everything up to 17:30 of
Lonesome, a few starts of songs clipped. I decided to put together
this composite using the soundboard as the basic recording. I
had hoped that the three sources could be combined to provide
the whole show, but unfortunately the sbd and Menke's master do
not overlap so as to cover the whole missing portion of Lonesome.
Menke's tape (I am not sure about the equipment he was using)
supplies 9:38-9:49 of Knockin', all of Tore Up and Love in the Afternoon, and 13:28-17:40 of Lonesome.
- d2t06 LAALWFH splice @ 17:40, unknown amount missing.
